The Big Apple Triathlon features a hybrid sprint course for all paratriathletes — a 1500m Hudson River swim, a 12.4-mile bike on the Henry Hudson Parkway, and a 2.5-mile Central Park run finishing at the 72nd Street Fountains. Register in one of the sport classes below.
Wheelchair users — recumbent handcycle on the bike, racing wheelchair on the run.
Standing / ambulatory athletes with a physical impairment (incl. amputees); the number reflects impairment severity.
Visually impaired athletes — race the full course with a guide and a tandem bike.
Adaptive athletes (unclassified) — Wheelchair, Ambulatory, and Visually Impaired divisions.
Neurodiverse athletes.
Guides
PTVI and ATD1 visually-impaired athletes race the entire course with the same guide. Guides register free and receive a complimentary coupon code.
Handlers
All paratriathletes (except visually-impaired athletes) get handler support in transition. Bring your own or request one — handlers don't race and review pre-recorded training.
Awards & Briefings
Awards go to the top three men and women in each category. Para-specific race briefings are announced closer to event day.
